Who runs it
A security officer who watches a problem and phones the police is not what a centre manager is paying for.
The company exists because of that gap. Officers here are hired, trained and supervised to resolve what is in front of them, within the law and the client's policy, and to write down what they did.
The company is led by a director with a police background and close-protection credentials, who still plans the protection assignments and sets the standard for every post. Day-to-day, supervisors run the rosters by precinct and visit posts unannounced. There is no call centre between a client and the person responsible for their site.
How the team is built
Drawn from police veterans and Class 1 licensed guards, with a number of high-performance athletes among them.
What they have in common is discipline: turning up, holding a post, following a protocol, and writing an accurate record at the end of it.
Every officer holds a current Queensland Class 1 licence in their own name and a first aid certificate. Before a first shift they are briefed on the site orders and inducted on site; before a first shift on a close-protection assignment they are briefed by the director. Officers are placed on the same site for as long as the roster allows, because an officer who knows the tenants, the layout and the regulars resolves more and escalates less.

Every post and patrol is logged in Boomerang, our own reporting app: the officer logs on at the site, check-ins are timestamped, incidents are entered as they happen with photographs, and the client receives the report in one format for every site they hold with us.
Officers carry radios and earpieces, so an officer, the supervisor and a patrol vehicle are one call apart. Body-worn cameras and recording eyewear are used where the client requests them and the site's signage and privacy obligations allow; footage is handled under a written procedure.
