Licensed security officers, Brisbane & Gold Coast

We roster Class 1 licensed officers to fixed posts at retail centres and commercial buildings, to construction sites after hours, and to patrol runs across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Officers are placed on the same site as far as the roster allows, so you learn the site and the site learns you.

What a shift looks like

You are briefed on the site orders before your first shift and inducted on site.

On post, you log on digitally, hold the position or walk the pattern set for the site, deal with what comes up under the site's policy and Queensland law, and record every incident at the time with what you saw, what you did and how it ended. A supervisor visits unannounced and reads the log. At the end of the shift you hand over in writing.

What we require

    Queensland Class 1 licence

    Current, in your own name, checkable on the OFT register.

  2. 02

    First aid

    A current first aid certificate.

  3. 03

    Right to work and history

    The right to work in Australia and a clear police history as required by the licence.

  4. 04

    Transport

    Reliable transport; a driver licence for patrol roles.

  5. 05

    Presentation and communication

    Suited to retail and corporate sites: you will be talking to tenants, managers and the public every shift.

  6. 06

    Temperament

    To approach and resolve a situation rather than watch it, and to write it up accurately.

What we offer
